With over 18–years of experience, Addis is a passionate architect dedicated to enhancing the quality of every project he undertakes. He has a proven track record of successfully designing and managing a wide range of projects from initial concept through construction completion. A collaborative leader, Addis excels at working with a variety of stakeholders, balancing client needs with high design standards.
His expertise encompasses project management, design, and contract administration, skills he effectively leverages in the planning and development of numerous medium to large-scale commercial, residential, institutional and industrial projects. Addis possesses in-depth knowledge of building codes, energy codes, building envelopes, and municipal bylaws and guidelines.
Since 2006, Addis has worked in various architectural firms in Toronto and Calgary, progressing from Intern Architect to Senior Design Lead, Project Architect/Senior Project Manager, and Principal/Director. He has extensive experience in supervising and mentoring junior architects, intern architects, and senior designers.
Until recently, Addis served as the Principal Architect and Director of CTM Architecture Ltd. for nearly a decade. He departed to co-found Permitflow where he continues to practice and expand his services within the architecture and construction industries.
Addis is registered to practice architecture in Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, and
Saskatchewan. He is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Passive House Consultant.
